Ladies and Gentlemen,
we are delighted to announce that we have completed the activation of the electronic money licence (EMI). This is another milestone in the AFORTI Group’s strategy to become a pan-European provider of comprehensive financial solutions for the SME sector.
At the same time, we have applied to the Central Bank of Cyprus to passport the EMI licence to the rest of the European Union markets.
The passporting will allow us to develop our operations in 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe in line with the Group’s strategy.
The electronic money licence will enable us, among other things: to offer foreign exchange, money transfers and to operate multi-currency accounts.
